We will visit holy city Echmiadzin where is situated Holy Mother Cathedral, St. Gayane and St. Hripsime churches, ruins of Zvartnots Temple, as well as we'll participate in Dolma making masterclass at Machanents Art and Tourism. Hotel pickup and drop-off is included.

Drive to holly city Echmiadzin. Here is situated Holy Mother Cathedral of Armenian Apostolic Church and it is considered to be the oldest one in the world. The Cathedral was built in the early 4th century and was the seat of the head of the church - Catholicos. The cathedral was listed as World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2000. The cathedral, built in 480, is located in a walled compound with gardens and various structures. The word "Echmiadzin" means “The coming of the only-begotten”.

Visit St. Hripsime Church that is a 7th  century Armenian Apostolic church in Armenia. It was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site along with other nearby churches, including Ejmiadzin Cathedral, Armenia's mother church, in 2000. Also visit St. Gayane Church that was also listed as a UNESCO World Heritage in 2000.

Dolma making masterclass at Machanents Art and Tourism.

The next place to visit will be magnificent Zvartnots Temple built in 643-652. Now in ruins, it is located at the edge of the city of Vagharshapat.

You will visit also “Birds cave” which is considered to be the oldest winery in the world. It is already 6100 years old and it is fact that Armenia is considered to be fatherland of wine. You will also visit wine factory Old Areni and taste several types of local wines.

During this tour you can visit the monastery of Khor-Virap, which is a very famous place in Armenia. Here in Khor-Virap monastery was imprisoned Gregory Illuminator who was spreading Christianity in Armenia and because of whom Armenia became the first country which accepted Christianity as an official religion in 301 AD. 

Afterwards, visit another region of Armenia that is very famous for its wine producing traditions, and according to recent discoveries in this region in a little cave were found the oldest wine pots in the world. It is already a fact that Armenia is the first country in the world known for its wine producing. After, have lunch in a local restaurant. After having lunch you will visit “Birds cave” - a natural cave in which archeologists found the oldest winery in the world and it is already 6100 years old. 

After, visit Noravank monastery, which is one of the masterpieces of medieval Armenian architecture. After this long but beautiful trip, return to Yerevan.
